Energy & Labor Saving RO-RO Cargo Ship "WAKANATSU"
WAKANATSU is Energy & Labor Saving RO-RO Cargo Ship developed under the design concept of "Reducing time for loading/unloading". WAKANATSU is the first ship equipped with Auto-Lashing Device in the world, and the device is functioning to reduce crew’s labor remarkably. Onomichi Dockyard spent totally 8 years to develop the Auto-Lashing Device.
Not only the function and performance, but also we pursued good appearance of the ship by making full use of the 3-D computer graphic. We used many comfortable lines and refined movement in the shape of outside in order to give her beautiful appearance expressing elegance and speed. We believe that the beautiful ship like WAKANATSU provides a pleasant feeling and a sense of satisfaction to people looking at the ship at wharf. We wish that the crews sailing on her and families of the crews will be proud of WAKANATSU, and she contributes much to improve the image of the shipping and shipbuilding industries.
